Meet The Author

Lauren K Brady is the Author behind the Discover & Decode series.

Meet Lauren…

A woman sitting on a stone ledge in front of a building with a large, blue louvered window with gray and tan brick wall and green plants nearby.

The vibrant illustrations make complex ideas engaging and easy to understand. When she’s not writing or exploring data, Lauren enjoys yoga, gardening, and family adventures outdoors. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two sons, and their beloved dog, Juneau.

Lauren K. Brady is a scientist, mom, and AI literacy advocate. A geneticist by training with a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, Lauren now leads AI-driven cancer research in the biopharma industry. She created "DECODE AI: an A to Z guide to artificial intelligence” as the first book in the Discover & Decode series to introduce kids to the fascinating world of artificial intelligence by using nature-based analogies.
