Lauren K. Brady is a scientist, mom, and AI literacy advocate. A geneticist by training with a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, Lauren now leads AI-driven cancer research in the biopharma industry. Inspired by her young sons’ curiosity, she created "DECODE AI: an A to Z guide to artificial intelligence"—as the first book in the Discover & Decode series—to introduce kids to the fascinating world of artificial intelligence by using nature-based analogies. The vibrant illustrations make complex ideas engaging and easy to understand. When she’s not writing or exploring data, Lauren enjoys yoga, gardening, and family adventures outdoors. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two sons, and their beloved dog, Juneau.
